coatings - FAQ

How long will it take to powder coat or Cerakote my items?

All of the coating work we do is done by hand and each project is given the individual attention it deserves. When you ship or bring your parts in we will provide you with an estimated timeframe based on our current workload.

Do you do production based coating?

Production based coatings are part of our core offering. If you are a manufacturer looking for a great coating company to partner with; look no further. Give us a call at 866-738-2487 to see how we might be able to help you out!

Do I need to strip or clean my parts before I bring them to you?

This is always a good idea. Especially if you like saving money. Whether you are bringing us a firearm or having us refinish your brake calipers its always a good idea to break the down all the way. Two things happen when you do this. First we are able to get to your parts a lot quicker. Second you save yourself some money by not having to pay us to break down and reassemble your items. For example; if you have an AR15 - break it all the way down. Trigger and all need to be out. If you have a set of brakes, pull them all the way down and remove the pistons and all. We will protect all the critical surfaces during the preparation and coating process.

How do you price Coating Services?

We price our Coating Services very competitively based on the condition of your items being coated. Our work speaks for itself and we can assure you that the price you pay with us will be far less than the cost you incur having another shop to do it. We take all of the proper steps to prep parts and apply a coating that will last a very long time. We can give guesstimate prices on the phone, via email or via text. When your parts arrive (Whether you ship them or bring them in), we will document and evaluate the condition. We will then communicate a final quote back to you and seek approval (50% deposit) before we begin work.We will answer any questions you may have and make sure you understand the process.

If I have you coat my brake calipers can you break them down and rebuild the for me?

When is the last time you asked your painter to rebuild your brakes? Let that sink in for a second. Does this actually make sense? We have a number of shops near us that would be happy to break down and rebuild your brakes. We would be happy to make introductions for you. We are here to make you look good, we don't want to be responsible for your vehicle coming to a complete stop.

How large an item can you coat?

We have a small batch and large batch oven on location. Our large batch oven is 12' long x 8' tall x 8' wide. If you part fits in that space then chances are we can coat it. If you have parts larger than that we have access to larger ovens in the DFW area where we can get the work done for you!
